BUILD COMPLETION APPLICATIONS
Building Work Completion

Upon the completion of building work, it's crucial to notify us for a final inspection and issuance of the completion certificate. Here's what you need to know about the completion process:

Applying for a Completion Certificate

Submit your completion certificate online via the eBuilding Standards portal or by completing Form 5 - Completion Certificate Submission and sending it to our correspondence address. Your agent can also submit on your behalf. Note: A completion certificate can only be issued if your Building Warrant is valid.

Expired Building Warrant

If your Building Warrant has expired, apply for an extension online or by completing Form C - Application to Extend Period of Validity of a Building Warrant. Ensure to include the appropriate fee and send it to our correspondence address.

Final Inspection

Your case surveyor will review your application and arrange a completion inspection to ensure compliance with building regulations and approved plans. Any discrepancies will be addressed.

Completion Acceptance

Upon successful inspection, we'll issue an acceptance of your completion certificate. Keep it for future reference, especially if you intend to sell the property.

Issues Identified During Inspection

If issues are identified during the final inspection, we'll notify you of necessary changes. Major changes may require an amendment to the building warrant application.

Submitting Amendment

Submit an amendment application online or by completing Form B - Application for Amendment to a Building Warrant and sending it to our correspondence address. Upon approval and completion of remedial works, a new inspection will be conducted, and a completion certificate will be issued if satisfactory.
